The grave in the Lone Pine Cemetery of Second Lieutenant Everard Digges La Touche, 2nd Battalion, AIF. La Touche, an Irish clergyman, was described by Charles Bean as an 'eager' leader who had just arrived on Gallipoli with reinforcements for his battalion on the eve of the Lone Pine attack and begged to be allowed to join it. He was killed in the early attacks on the Turkish lines on the afternoon of 6 August 1915.
