Green Hill Cemetery
(2971 burials) is named after a hill which rises from the east bank of the Salt Lake which was captured by the 6th Lincolns and 6th Borders on the evening of 7 August. Unsuccessful efforts were made to advance beyond Green Hill, culminating on 21 August in the Battle of Scimitar Hill, but the front line remained there until the evacuation.
